For those based in and around London, Berkhamsted could not be easier to get to by train from London’s Euston station (the journey is usually just thirty minutes). The Penny Farthing Hotel
The Penny Farthing is a quiet and stylish hotel just a five-minute walk from all the key Festival events. The hotel is named in honour of local cycling hero Thomas Stevens (1854-1935) who, in 1884, pedalled, pushed and carried his penny farthing 4,000 miles in making the first successful coast-to-coast bicycle trip across America.
