We are delighted to announce that Richard Greene, who is to direct the 25th Graham Greene International Festival, has secured Lo Dagerman as a speaker for 2024. Lo is the daughter of Anita Björk, the Swedish film and stage actress with whom Greene had a romantic relationship in the 1950s. At one point, Greene even contemplated moving to Sweden to be with Anita. In the event, the relationship ended, but the two continued a warm correspondence in the decades that followed until Greene’s death in 1991.
A reminder, the 2024 Festival takes place 3-6 October.
