The details of the 2021 Graham Greene International Festival have now been released. The programme is published on the Festival 2021 page. Please do come to Berkhamsted for this event if you have an interest in this great 20th Century British author who, nearly thirty years after his death has a lasting, international appeal. If it is your first time, you will be sincerely welcomed as the festival, now in its 22nd year, is a very sociable event.
This year, the event coincides with Greene’s birthday on the 2nd October. The traditional ‘birthday toast’ will be proposed by Greene’s grandsons Andrew and Jonathan Bourget. We are delighted to announce that Jonathan has very recently agreed to become a Patron of the Graham Greene Birthplace Trust. This was a position held by Jonathan’s mother Caroline until she very sadly passed away last February.
