Festival 2022 date announced

We are delighted to announce that the 23rd Graham Greene International Festival will take place in Berkhamsted on 29 September to  2 October 2022. The director of the four day event will be Dr. Chris Hull , Senior Lecturer in Spanish and Latin American Studies at Chester University. He will be supported by Mr. Charlie Hussey as business manager.

Although it will be Chris Hull’s first festival as director he has been a regular attendee at Berkhamsted in the past. His 2019 book Our Man Down in Havana: The Story behind Graham Greene’s Cold War Spy Story is a fascinating read. In this work Chris combines biography, history and politics to investigate the truth behind Greene’s fictional portrayal of Cuba at a pivotal moment in its history.

This website will carry more news announcements about the festival programme and about advance ticketing arrangements when it becomes available later in the year.
