American student Lucas Townsend (left) has recently embarked on a period of doctoral research at the University of Roehampton in S.W. London. His chosen subject involves the writings of Ian Fleming and Graham Greene. The two writers were acquainted. Once Greene rented Fleming’s house at Ocho Rios in Jamaica. Fleming employed what Greene described as ‘a villainous old housekeeper with the evil eye’. When Greene confronted her over the extortionate amount she was charging for drinks, he claims she placed a spell on him. Shortly afterwards he slipped over beside the swimming pool and damaged his shoulder quite severely.
