Regular Festival-goers will be very familiar with the name Neil Sinyard. Professor Sinyard has given a number of talks at Berkhamsted, particularly on Greene and the cinema. He has frequently ’rounded-off’ events in his inimitably witty, yet profound style, sending the Festivalites home with a smile on their faces. I am delighted to say that Neil has contributed to the website a truly splendid article to commemorate the 70th anniversary of one of the greatest films of all time: The Third Man. Neil’s article is entitled: Limelight in Vienna: Some Notes on British Cinema’s Most Charismatic Villain, and it can be found by following the link on the left to Resources and Archives and the further link to Current Research.
