Put out more chairs (not flags)

When the organisers have to put out more chairs – they know they have a success on their hands.

This is what happened on the Friday of the  Graham Greene International Festival when more people than expected  arrived to listen to the talks, to socialise and to browse the bookstalls. All in all this was a wonderful way to mark the 25th anniversary of the festival. Below are some photographs taken during the four days of the event.

We are grateful to photographers Kevin Ruane and Giles Clark.

Remember, the November issue of A Sort of Newsletter (ASON) will contain a full review of the 2024 Festival. If you don’t receive a copy of our  magazine which contains up to the minute news and articles about the world of Graham Greene, please turn to the Quarterly Magazine page on this website to find out how you can can apply for membership of the Greene Birthplace Trust which includes free issues of ASON.

… and finally we wanted to pay homage to that wonderful film of The 3rd Man which celebrated its 75th Anniversary this year.
