Although we are continuing to fine-tune the 2026 Festival programme ready for release in May, we are delighted to be able to announce a number of brilliant speakers who are already confirmed for September. These include Robin Ince (until very recently the co-host of BBC Radio 4’s The Inifinite Monkey Cage), Adam Sisman (John Le Carré’s biographer), Melanie McDonagh (whose 2025 book Converts looks at literary conversions to Catholicism), Robert Verkaik (whose new book on Greene and Kim Philby is just out), and novelist Jo Baker (whose most recent book The Midnight News is set in a Greene-like London Blitz landscape).
