The Graham Greene Walk – your help is needed

Richard Shepherd will once again be leading the popular ‘walking event’, titled Graham Greene’s Common: A Battlefield Guide which opens the festival – on Thursday afternoon, 28 September.

This year, unfortunately, Richard will be without his usual reader, Judy Mead. Therefore, he is asking for volunteers who would be prepared to read half a dozen short extracts from Greene’s writings over the two-mile stretch of this year’s walk on the common just outside Berkhamsted.

As before, participants are asked to gather initially outside the Court House beside St. Peter’s Church at 2.15pm. Richard would like to remind local festival attendants to please bring their cars in order to help ferry walkers to the start point opposite the war memorial on the common.
