Getting Here by Train
Berkhamsted is just 35–40 minutes from London Euston, with up to four London Northwestern Railway trains per hour. Trains also run regularly from Milton Keynes (25–30 minutes).
From Berkhamsted Station:
- Turn left for Berkhamsted School (3-minute walk)
- Turn right for the Town Hall (5-minute walk)
Arriving by Car
Berkhamsted is easily accessible by road:
- From the M1, take Junction 8 (6 miles away)
- From the M25, take Junction 20 (8 miles away)
Parking
Parking is available at:
- Berkhamsted School (Castle Street)
- Rear of the Town Hall (High Street)
- Waitrose Car Park (Lower King’s Road entrance)
Please note that parking is limited during busy periods. Early arrival is recommended.

Berkhamsted High Street
The Festival uses several venues throughout the weekend:
Thursday & Friday
Town Hall and Civic Centre: Located on the High Street, these historic venues host talks and the Friday headline event with Armando Iannucci
Saturday & Sunday
Berkhamsted School, Castle Street: Events take place in various buildings across the school site
Guided Walks
These depart from the Court House or the Railway Station. Full details will be listed in the Festival Programme
